Starting Diamond Back Explorer. Almost 36 LY range and everything one needs to start Exploration.
- Like most exploration ships it has a strong Frame Shift Drive (FSD) and D rated modules in most other places to conserve weight (D rated modules are lighter then other options).
- Important Note: Uses a smaller Power Plant for increased Jump Range, to manage this some modules are kept powered off during flight. To power off a module go to your right panel (default key 4) and set them to inactive.
- This ship can be bought and assembled in Sanopijcha; Maire City. The 4A Fuel Scoop and 4D Thrusters which are not sold at Maire City can be purchased from the Carrier USC Wastage in system.

Systems Kept Powered off During Flight: When you use them come to a complete stop shut down your thrusters and power these up instead. 
- Planetary Vehicle Hanger: A Surface Vehicle that lets you drive around on planets. There are tutorials on how to do this if you are unfamiliar.
- Auto Field Maintenance Unit: Allows you to repair Module Damage. A common thing to do to boost your jump range by flying through the jet cone of neutron / white dwarf stars which damages your frame shift drive but drastically increases your jump range for one jump. This will let you repair your FSD and other damaged modules out in the black with ease.
- Repair Limpet Controller: In cases where you damage your hull from bumping into a planet or stellar objects (rare but it happens) this will let you repair your hull. Note; You generally do not carry limpets but sythisize them from raw materials while out in the black for the few times you need them.

Other key systems:
- Detailed Surface Scanner: Lets you scan the surface of planets and map them with launched Probes.
- Large Fuel Scoop for scooping fuel from stars quickly.
- Supercruise assist for auto-dethrottling when you jump to a new star.
- Does not carry a Docking Computer so manual landing is gonna be key.

Efficient Heal Beams used for keeping your Wing Buddies Shields up.

While Long Range Regen Beams would be better it just overheats too much in that configuration as the FDL is a heater ship.

Could be done with Long Range G3 Heal Beams and keeping FSD offline in combat while watching heat.

Power plant is sized for lower heat as well with this build in mind.

Relies on an Overcharged G2 Power plant + a pair of G3 Long Beams with Thermal Vent to keep it cool while fighting.

You will have to watch your weapon power a bit when you fire all weapons continuously but it's very managable.

Solo PVE Combat

Endurance oriented FDL that never needs ammo for its weapons:
- Requires really high end engineering including a trip to Colonia
- Uses Plasma Slug for its Huge Plasma Accelerator so it burns fuel instead of having 100 PA shots.
- Uses Gimbled Efficient Thermal Vent Beams to dump heat quickly and effectively.
- Should only have to go rearm if fuel gets low or you run out of Shield Cell bank Ammunition.
- Alternate variation: Swap the SCB's for Guardian Shield Reinforcements and change the shield's experimental to High Cap. If you run out of shields you run away.

-Ideal bubble Taxi since you can fly somewhere to retrieve another ship and ship it back to you for cheap.

-Requires a lot of Engineering
-Squishy, shields are paper and you will blow up if you hit things at high speed.

-Doesn't carry at ton of limpets for collecting high grade emissions you generally have to refill after 1-2 sets of filling up.

Krait Support Beamer 3.0

This ship is focused on collecting materials from NPC ships in combat and to be achievable with early game engineers. A bit weaker on it's own, it relies on it's fighter and wing allies to protect it. Key Features:
- Lightly Engineered: This ship can be built and engineered with the 4 of starting set of engineers Felicity Farseer, Elvira Martusk, Todd the Blaster McQuinn and The Dweller.
- 3B Collector Limpet to deploy 2 Collectors Limpets at once with a cargo capacity for 64 Limpets. Note; B rated Collector has a larger range then other collector limpets.
- Uses a fighter bay to tag enemies and distract enemy fire off the main ship. The Fixed Beam Gelid GU-97 is recommended for the fighter layout.
- Carries Regeneration Beams to repair wingmate's shields as such it's damage against shields is weaker but complimented by a beam based fighter it will do just fine.
- Uses Fully engineered Multi-Cannons with Auto-Loader and Corrosive Shells for taking down enemy hulls.
- While this ship can be done without engineering as well it will be slower, flimsy and run out of distributor power otherwise. If no engineering is available it is suggested to use the related build of the 
- Variations: the class 1 Module reinforcement slot can be swapped for a 1A Repair Limpet to repair hulls of yourself and allies.

Since goids dont spawn swarms at surface sites this ship is specialized to that it doesnt have ANY flak launchers (because we dont need them) and it does have some guardian tech in so if you dont want to grind(like me) you can get weapons only

Cargo Hauler intended to land on medium landing pads to ferry things from a carrier or do smaller trade hops.

Could pair well with a big mining ship + carrier for drop of LTD's at high demand Medium landing pad stations. Fill up a big cargo hold on mining, use this to ferry it all for sale.

Achievable with only 3 Engineers (Farseer, Tod the Blaster and Elvira).

The intent is for players trying to get a leg up in combat to use this alongside veterans and scoop all the engineering materials as the fights progress. Carries 64 Limpets with a 5A collector for this purpose.

Quick Fill Miner Upgraded 3.0

This is an optimised mining build for the Python. No engineering is needed but some of the components can take some finding, use inara to locate them.

To mine load the ship up with about 75% limpets and head out to a mining spot, usually a planet with rings. Use the detailed surface scanner on the rings to identify the best places to mine. Head into the ring. Use the pulse wave analyser to highlight asteroids with high value minerals and metals. Fire a prospecting limpet at the asteroid while travelling at slow speed and straight ahead. Move into range. The mining lasers are the quickest way of extracting, set them on fire group one, set the collection limpet controllers on fire group 2. Blast away and release the limpets to collect the pieces. The refinery will then extract the minerals and deposit them in your hold.

Abrasion Blaster: Some deposits appear on the surface, should be obvious from the icon. Target the deposit and fire the abrasion blaster at it to knock off a high value chunk. This can take some practice.

Sub Surface Displacement Missile: Target the sub-surface deposit. Fire the missile into it and keep the trigger pressed. A chart will start scrolling, release when the graph is high and the line is passing a blue block. (Should be obvious.)

Seismic Charge Launcher: Some asteroids have high value cores. These need to be blown apart to access the minerals. Check on youtube for instructions.
