Starting Diamond Back Explorer. Almost 36 LY range and everything one needs to start Exploration.

• Like most exploration ships it has a strong Frame Shift Drive (FSD) and D rated modules in most other places to conserve weight (D rated modules are lighter then other options).
• Important Note: Uses a smaller Power Plant for increased Jump Range, to manage this some modules are kept powered off during flight. To power off a module go to your right panel (default key 4) and set them to inactive.
• This ship can be bought and assembled in Sanopijcha; Maire City. The 4A Fuel Scoop and 4D Thrusters which are not sold at Maire City can be purchased from the Carrier USC Wastage in system.

Systems Kept Powered off During Flight: When you use them come to a complete stop shut down your thrusters and power these up instead.

• Planetary Vehicle Hanger: A Surface Vehicle that lets you drive around on planets. There are tutorials on how to do this if you are unfamiliar.
• Auto Field Maintenance Unit: Allows you to repair Module Damage. A common thing to do to boost your jump range by flying through the jet cone of neutron / white dwarf stars which damages your frame shift drive but drastically increases your jump range for one jump. This will let you repair your FSD and other damaged modules out in the black with ease.
• Repair Limpet Controller: In cases where you damage your hull from bumping into a planet or stellar objects (rare but it happens) this will let you repair your hull. Note; You generally do not carry limpets but sythisize them from raw materials while out in the black for the few times you need them.

Other key systems:

• Detailed Surface Scanner: Lets you scan the surface of planets and map them with launched Probes.
• Large Fuel Scoop for scooping fuel from stars quickly.
• Supercruise assist for auto-dethrottling when you jump to a new star.
• Does not carry a Docking Computer so manual landing is gonna be key.
• Carries some E Rated Shield boosters to give you slightly more shield for occasional bumps and bruises while landing.
